Time to revive OLD SILK ROUTE - RItesh Arya

We had borders with Tibet and no Borders with China till 1959.
we had a peaceful open border with Tibet
In 1959 Tibet was attacked by China and Dalai Lama ji fled Tibet to settle in Dharamsala.
To consolidate their win over Tibet China wanted to expand its territories and wanted all the land which Tibet had.  We had 1962 Indo China war.  India was taken by surprise but it was the price we paid for keeping quiet of the occupation of Tibet by CHina in 1959.
Borders became the center of a dispute. After that China has claimed Ladakh and Arunachal because I think we never took the matter of illegal occupation of Tibet in the United Nations and the whole world kept mum leaving Tibetans to live like a refuge
I think India and China had very good relations in the past. but it was the giving shelter to Dalai Lama ji which led to the conflict.  The entire international community should call spade a spade and help the Tibetan community to get back their motherland from China and China should be held responsible for the suffering imposed on the people of Tibet.

Ritesh Arya Now it all depends on Dalai Lama ji how he wants Tibet to be, weather Independent or as part of China.  If he agrees and is ready to accept China's occupation as legal, then we have present borders with China If both nations respect today's actual line as the International Borders and promise to resolve territorial disputes after decade.

  • The second case is we have already claimed Aksai Chin Historically it was part of Tibet which was occupied by Zohrawar Singh in mid 19th century and it became part of Punjab under Ranjeet Singh but after his death, Daleep Singh handed this to the Britishers who after partition gave it to India.  But after the 1962 War Aksai Chin was handed to China by Nehru government. And to keep matters worse China claims its right on Ladakh and Arunachal Pradesh. Today  Aksai Chin is now occupied by China and continue with the dispute
  • Ritesh Arya Best is we resolve our border dispute and keep present boundaries as international borders and All the Tibetans can happily go back to their Homeland

  • Ritesh Arya With US and Europe our main dependence is on weapons and technology. And they mean pure business. As exporting Weapons are their only qualification to run their economy.
  • But if we have a strong relationship with China we are practically NOT at war with any nation. Pakistan will fall n his own weight. So why the hell should we require the out of date Weapons from the World.
  • Ritesh Arya So this is the right time to  scrap defense deals and invest money in infrastructure and indigenous technology and gradually build our own defense system aggressively

So the revival of OLD SILK ROUTE is necessary for building good relationship with our neighbours and gradually emerge as a regional superpower in the region.

Comments
  • Nitya Nand Sud India should wish it.
  • Rai Gunakesh May be sir ... after 4 to 6 month will decide.
  • Krishan Kant Yes very soon
  • Jagjit Singh Kochar My apprehension is that China will emerge much stronger. China is currently the most productve country. Infact globally Chinese have spread more than Corona. In a few years we all may get herd immunity from Corona but we will never be able to digest China's productive muscle power.

  • Bhalinder Kumar Big volume of work force, smart foreign policies of serving poor nations in terms of business and infrastructure, buying assets everywhere in the world etc. Nothing will disintegrate China as long as their country's economy is based on indigenous resources. India must learn from them and cut the defence budget and help the common man and generate jobs.
