Naming station 120km on DBO sector after Col Babu will be a tribute to the great soul and his men who lost their lives on that day -
The Dragon has been nailed
Real Tribute to the soldiers will be to not only protect our present boundaries but also recapture Kailash and Man सरोवर which as the name suggest representing our own tradition and are in no way Chinese

My maiden visit to Chumtash ahead of Galwan Valley on DBO road to do groundwater exploration and study feasibility of Shyok bridge in 2013
OLD SILK ROUTE
Most of the road stretch was on glacio-fluvial deposit. It is part of the Old Silk Route. And the double-humped camels found in Nubra Valley moved on these tracks to as far as Mongolia. There is hardly any civilian habitation in between Shyok and Chumtash which is approximately 180 to 200kms from Durbuk Shyok junction (DSJ).
Galwan valley is 120kms from the DSJ and we had a Unit there. After Durbuk this is the only resting place in the whole stretch before Chumtash. This is a very important point for our forces because this is the lifeline for the Chumtash and DBO area. If China gets an advantage here I think they will enjoy the positional advantage which Pakistan enjoyed in Tiger Hill and Tololong hill in the Drass sector. We cannot afford the Chinese posts here.

Infrastructure
In 2013 we had only 2 months to do a stocking for the entire winters in the DBO sector. Because in summers Shyok as the name suggests in the sorrow of India because of its erratic nature and due to snowmelt crossing it was just impossible. So at 150kms from DSJ, we had built this Shyok bridge which was inaugurated by DM last year.
Shyok bridge was constructed on piles and today we have good connectivity for more months in winters.
Open for Tourism

Open for Tourism
Open this area for tourism and that is the only solution to make this part familiar to the Indians
I am sure many Indians would love to visit this spot as they did in Kargil and Drass
I think time has come to talk tough with China
